Therapy - encompasses both counselling and psychotherapy
Counselling and Psychotherapy often overlap and are used interchangeably. Counselling focuses on supporting you with a particular problem or at a time of crisis and is usually shorter term. Psychotherapy involves looking at your experience more widely, with the aim of helping you develop awareness about how your past experiences maybe contributing to your current difficulties.

A word about Neurodiversity
The concept of neurodiversity embraces the diversity of all human brain types (neuro-types) and views neurodevelopmental conditions/differences such as: ADHD, Autism, dyslexia, Dyspraxia/DCD, Dyscalculia, Dysgraphia among others, through a difference lens as opposed to an impaired lens. While those who are neurodivergent (individuals with neurodevelopmental differences) think, communicate and process differently than those who are neurotypical, this does not mean that neurodivergent thinking, communicating and processing is wrong it is just different from neurotypical ways of thinking, communicating and processing. The neurodiversity view is that all neuro-types have their strengths and limitations and that having a variety of neuro-types benefits humanity as a whole.
I have experience in supporting clients who are neurodiverse/neurodivergent. Clients with ADHD, Autism, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia/DCD, Dyscalculia, Dysgraphia and other neuro-minorities.
I am a strong advocate for those who are neurodiverse/neurodivergent, a population that has experienced judgement and whose abilities have not been fully appreciated. I am aware of the challenges clients may face as they navigate a neurotypical world, challenges that are often misunderstood. My work is informed by my personal and professional experience of neurodivergence.
I employ a flexible approach in my work with clients offering therapeutic alternatives to those who may not be comfortable with traditional approaches to counselling. I work in a calm setting with soft lighting and informal seating, an environment that appreciates the sensory processing needs and different learning styles of individuals.
I aim to create an atmosphere of trust and will take time to make you feel secure, providing a safe space for you to begin to talk about the challenges you are experiencing. You will have the opportunity to explore issues and experiences that may have impacted you negatively and have been internalised due to misunderstanding and judgement from others. I will support you in a way that is sensitive and non-judging as you gain understanding and insight into what is going on for you.

Walk-and-Talk Therapy
Being in nature is grounding and, in itself, can be therapeutically beneficial. Walk-and-talk therapy is the same as regular psychotherapy, the only difference is the sessions are held outdoors in nature. Some clients prefer having therapy walking side by side with their therapist rather than sitting face to face. They find being surrounded by nature reassuring and often find it easier to start discussing their concerns.
Online-Therapy
People are embracing online therapy like never before. It has proven to be effective, surprising both therapists and clients when it became very much the only option for therapy during the pandemic.
This form of therapy offers clients the option to work with a therapist with particular expertise who does not live nearby.
